My “sleepy” hometown of Belchertown, Mass is having its annual fair in a couple of weeks. They’ve held the town fair 157 times in the past and as a kid, it was always the greatest thing because it was around my birthday. This year it is being held September 18 - 20 and I will be in town. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! It is a mix of carnival rides, country fair, livestock show, pulling contests and a Parade to start Saturday’s festivities.

The only reason I go to fairs anymore is for the rodeo/cook-off aspects (I have a feeling that this is primarily a Texas thing). But otherwise, I steer* clear of the rides because I HATE CARNIES.
